Age as On 01/07/2017: Minimum 18 years  and Maximum 44 years

The age relaxation will be  up to 5 years applicable to SC/ST/BC  10 years for PH candidates

Scale of PAY:20535-41155

Educational Qualification: Must have a diploma in Electrical Engineering or Graduation in Electrical Engineering in addition to Diploma in Electrical Engineering or any other equivalent qualification recognized by the board/university.

Payment Mode:Candidate  has to visit the website  tstransco.cgg.gov.in  to view the detailed notification under guide.After payment of fee the candidates has to click on the link SUBMIT APPLICATION to complete the process of  application submission.


Scheme Of Examination:The written  test comprising of 80 marks consists of 80 multiple choice questions. Section A consists of 65 questions on core technical subject and remaining 15 questions on General Awareness and numerical ability.
Duration of  written examination will be 120 minutes i.e 2 hours only.



Procedure for selection:

Minimum Qualifying marks in the written test as below

OC  : 40%

BC  : 35%

SC/ST:30%

PH: 30%


--> weightage marks for in -service outsourced workers engaged on contract basis and who qualify in the written test:20 marks (refer notification for full details)


FINAL SECTION:The merit list will be drawn considering the written examination marks plus service weightage marks.There is NO INTERVIEW for this Post.

Scale of pay:20535-41155

Training cum probation: The candidates appointed to post shall be placed on probation for a period of 2 years which includes 1 year training.


Place of Posting:The candidates appointed  shall be required to work at the substation of TRANSCO . The candidates recruited on the zonal basis shall be transferred within the respective zones only.
